What is the Aura Farming meme?
This Aura Farming template is a flat cartoon drawn in the Rick and Morty style: a skinny kid with a buzz cut and wide eyes stands on a white background wearing a black Gucci t-shirt, light blue ripped skinny jeans and white sneakers, wearing a small self-satisfied smile. He is doing nothing at all, just standing there radiating confidence, which is exactly the point. "Aura farming" is internet slang for posing, acting or flexing to look effortlessly cool and collect aura points, and this drawing is the picture of someone quietly convinced they are farming it. The joke is the gap between how much aura he thinks he has and how little he actually did.
Origin: The phrase comes from the "aura" slang that spread among younger users in 2023 and 2024, where people award or deduct aura points for cool or embarrassing moments. Calling deliberate cool-guy behaviour "aura farming" took off on TikTok, Instagram and X in late 2024 and kept growing in 2025.
Also known as: Aura Farm, Aura Points.
How to use the Aura Farming meme
The top box sets up the moment: "me after..." or a description of a tiny achievement. The bottom box finishes it with the trivial thing being treated as a legend moment, or with a label like "aura farming". The smaller the accomplishment, the funnier the smug pose looks.
It suits low-stakes flexes: fixing one typo, arriving on time, ordering in another language, making a single shot in a pickup game. You can also aim it at someone else, like a celebrity or anime character visibly posing for the camera.
