What is the Arthur's Fist meme?
A tight close-up of a brown cartoon fist, clenched hard at the end of a yellow sweater sleeve, fills almost the whole frame. It belongs to Arthur Read, the aardvark from the PBS cartoon Arthur, and it is the picture of someone holding back rage with the last of their self-control. That makes it an all-purpose reaction to small, infuriating moments: a slow Wi-Fi connection, someone chewing loudly, a coworker hitting reply-all. The joke is that the trigger is minor while the fist promises violence, and because no face is visible, the viewer imagines their own fury behind it.
Origin: The frame comes from the Arthur episode "Arthur's Big Hit" (1999), in which Arthur clenches his fist before hitting his little sister D.W. after she breaks his model plane. It later spread on Twitter and Reddit as a reaction image.
Also known as: Arthur Clenched Fist, Arthur Fist Meme.

Pick petty irritations everyone recognises: a phone at 1% with no charger, someone spoiling a finale, the teacher assigning homework over the holidays, a teammate stealing your kill, the printer jamming right before a meeting.
