What is the Sweet Brown meme?
Sweet Brown is a still from a local TV news interview: Kimberly Wilkins, wearing a patterned headscarf and a bright tie-dye top, squints at the reporter with a pained, half-laughing grimace in front of a brick building, the station's "4" logo in the corner. In the interview she described escaping a fire at her apartment complex and summed up her refusal to wait around with the line "ain't nobody got time for that". The meme uses her face and that phrase to dismiss anything tedious, slow or unreasonable, with total confidence.
Origin: Wilkins was interviewed by Oklahoma City station KFOR after a fire at her apartment building in April 2012. The clip went viral on YouTube within days, and her catchphrase spread through remixes, image macros and ads.
Also known as: Ain't Nobody Got Time for That, Aint Nobody Got Time.
How to use the Sweet Brown meme
The top box names the tedious thing, ideally as a question or a quick description ("memes?", "a 40-step skincare routine?"). The bottom box is almost always her verdict, "ain't nobody got time for that", sometimes spelled the way she said it.
It is the perfect reply to long forms, unskippable ads, slow lines, endless meeting invites, terms and conditions and complicated recipes. The setup should describe something that genuinely wastes time so that her dismissal feels earned and joyful rather than mean.
