What is the Bugs Bunny No meme?
Bugs Bunny No is a blurry, tilted close-up of Bugs Bunny with half-closed eyes, his red lips pushed out and his tongue just visible, an expression of smug, total refusal, as if he has already heard your idea and has nothing to say about it except a single word. That word is "no", which is already printed in small white letters in the corner of this version, with a white band above the picture for the question. The image is the cartoon version of a flat refusal: no argument, no explanation, just Bugs looking down his nose at you. It became a go-to reply for shutting down requests, bad takes and unreasonable demands, and it pairs naturally with a question in the top caption so the rabbit can answer it.
Origin: The frame is taken from a classic Looney Tunes short starring Bugs Bunny. It spread as a reaction image in the mid-2010s, mostly with the bare caption "no".
Also known as: No Bugs Bunny, Bugs Bunny Pout, Bugs Bunny Says No.
How to use the Bugs Bunny No meme
Put the question, request or suggestion in the top box. The bottom box can repeat the answer in big letters or stay empty, since "no" is already in the image; either way, a single word lets Bugs's face do the rest. Variants like "no." with a period or "no 🙂" add a little extra attitude.
It lands best when the request is something people secretly want to refuse: shipping on Friday, a group project with no deadline, an unpaid trial shift, a friend asking to borrow your car for a weekend. You can also flip it so the top line is an offer that sounds great and Bugs still declines, for a petty, stubborn joke.
