What is the Where Monkey meme?
Where Monkey shows three orangutans sitting on the red couch and behind the round desk of a morning-TV news studio, with a city skyline painted on the window behind them. They sit upright like presenters waiting to go on air, each staring off in a different direction with blank, slightly puzzled faces, as if someone has asked a question nobody in the room can answer. That makes the image a perfect stand-in for a group searching for something that clearly is not there: the documentation, the remote, the person responsible.
Also known as: Orangutans on the News, Monkeys at News Desk, Where Banana.
How to use the Where Monkey meme
The format reads as a question. Use the top box to start it, usually "where is" or "who has", and the bottom box for the missing thing. Splitting it as "where is" / "the documentation" gives the bottom line the weight of the punchline.
It suits any situation where a group collectively has no idea: a team looking for whoever broke production, a family hunting for the TV remote, classmates trying to find who actually read the assignment, or a squad asking where the healer went. The three blank orangutan stares sell the shared confusion.
