What is the Are They in the Room With Us Right Now? meme?
Are They in the Room With Us Right Now? is a wide shot of a bare interview room: a man in a hospital gown, barefoot, sits in a plastic chair on one side, and an older man in a shirt and tie sits facing him on the other, hands folded, with a table, water bottles and papers behind them. The scene looks like a calm, clinical questioning. The caption casts the interviewer as someone gently testing an implausible claim by asking whether the invisible people being cited are actually present, which makes it a deadpan way to call out imaginary users, fans or supporters.

How to use the Are They in the Room With Us Right Now? meme
The top box quotes the claim about some unseen group: "the users who need this feature", "all the people who loved that movie", "the girls who like you". The bottom box is the interviewer's question, "are they in the room with us right now?".
It works on any vague appeal to people nobody has met: market research nobody did, a friend's mysterious admirers, fans of a widely disliked sequel, the customers a pitch claims are begging for something. Keep the top line in quotes so it reads as someone else's claim.
