What is the Hello Human Resources meme?

Hello Human Resources is a two-row office comic titled "Know the Work Rules". In the top row, labeled "Appropriate", a handsome, square-jawed man in a gray suit leans in with a grin and a finger-point, and the woman at her desk swoons, "Awww, you're sweet," with a little heart. In the bottom row, labeled "Inappropriate", a chubby man in glasses and a sweater vest waves from the same spot, and the same woman grabs the phone in horror: "Hello, Human Resources?!" The men's speech bubbles are blank, so the template compares two people saying the same thing and getting opposite reactions.

Origin: The comic was made by Max Garcia for Sunny Street Comics and published in September 2013 as a jab at double standards in how compliments are received. The blank-bubble version later became an exploitable for comparing reactions.

Also known as: Hello, Human Resources?!, Know the Work Rules, Hello HR Comic.

How to use the Hello Human Resources meme

There are two boxes, one in each man's empty speech bubble. Put the same line, or nearly the same line, in both: the top one is said by the person who gets away with it, the bottom one by the person who gets reported. The printed reactions stay as they are.

It is funniest when used for rules applied unevenly that have nothing to do with attraction: a senior dev versus an intern deleting a database, a popular streamer versus a new one saying the same joke, a teacher's favorite student versus everyone else turning work in late.
