What is the Boardroom Meeting Suggestion meme?
Boardroom Meeting Suggestion is a cartoon comic set in a corporate meeting. A frustrated boss leans over the table and asks the team a question, two employees offer their ideas, and a third, relaxed guy leaning on his hand suggests something different. In the last panels the boss glares and the third employee is thrown straight out of the office window. Usually the ejected idea is the sensible, customer-friendly one, so the comic mocks companies that punish the one honest answer. It also flips: sometimes the third answer is the ridiculous one and the window is well deserved.
Origin: The comic is based on a 2012 Hejibits webcomic about a Nintendo boardroom discussing the Wii U. Its blank version became a widely shared exploitable for poking fun at corporate decision making.
Also known as: Boardroom Suggestion, Thrown Out the Window Meme, Boardroom Meeting Meme.
How to use the Boardroom Meeting Suggestion meme
Box 1 is the boss's question at the top. Boxes 2 and 3 are the first two employees' ideas, which are usually the greedy, typical corporate answers. Box 4 is the third employee's suggestion, the one that gets him thrown out the window.
For the classic version make box 4 the obvious fix fans or users actually want, so the joke lands on the company. For a twist, make the first two reasonable and box 4 terrible, so the defenestration feels earned. Keep the question short enough to fit the top bubble.
