What is the Hulk Taco meme?
Hulk Taco is a two-panel scene from Avengers: Endgame. In the top panel the Hulk, in his calm Professor Hulk form wearing a blue hoodie, walks up to Scott Lang (Ant-Man), who is sitting on a bench outside the Avengers compound. In the bottom panel Hulk leans into the camera with a pleased, slightly smug smile and holds out a single taco in his giant fingers. The image is used for an unexpected offering, a small consolation, or someone casually handing over something they clearly care about very little.
Origin: The scene is from Marvel's Avengers: Endgame (2019). Scott drops his taco when he is startled by the new talkative Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo, who calmly offers him one of his own.
Also known as: Hulk Gives Ant-Man a Taco, Professor Hulk Taco, Smart Hulk Taco.
How to use the Hulk Taco meme
The top box goes over the wide shot and sets up who is approaching or what situation you are in. The bottom box goes over Hulk holding out the taco and names what he is offering.
It suits small peace offerings and consolation prizes: a manager giving pizza instead of raises, a game handing out a cosmetic after a server crash, a friend offering a bite of food after eating yours. You can also label the taco as something strange to offer, which makes Hulk's smug grin even funnier.
