What is the Milk Was a Bad Choice meme?
Milk Was a Bad Choice shows a bearded, sweaty Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) from Anchorman squeezing his eyes shut mid-gulp from a carton of milk, his beard dotted with drips. In the movie Ron is at his lowest point, wandering the city on a scorching day after losing his job, and he declares out loud that milk was a bad choice. The meme captions any decision that seemed fine in the moment but turned out to be clearly regrettable, delivered with the same weary, dramatic self-awareness.
Origin: The scene is from Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), during Ron's downward spiral, where he drinks milk in the heat and immediately regrets it.
Also known as: Ron Burgundy Milk, Anchorman Milk.
