What is the I'm Going to Build My Own Theme Park meme?
This template shows Bender, the foul-mouthed robot from Futurama, announcing that he will build a theme park of his own, with blackjack and hookers. He says it after being turned away from fun he felt entitled to, and he immediately decides to skip the park itself. The phrase became an internet snowclone for storming off to make your own version of something that rejected you, usually with a ridiculous list of upgrades attached.
Origin: Bender delivers the line in "The Series Has Landed", an early first-season episode of Futurama from 1999, when the crew visits an amusement park on the Moon.
Also known as: With Blackjack and Hookers, Bender Theme Park, Futurama Bender.
How to use the I'm Going to Build My Own Theme Park meme
The top box names the thing you're going to build yourself, "I'm going to build my own...", and the bottom box adds the outrageous perks, traditionally "with blackjack and hookers" but often swapped for something fitting the topic. The comedy is petty overreaction: being excluded and answering with a grand, spiteful plan.
Use it when a server bans you, a club rejects you, an app removes a feature, or a group chat leaves you out. A great version ends with the third beat from the show: forget the original thing entirely.
