What is the Sophie Cunningham Pointing meme?
Sophie Cunningham Pointing is a TV screenshot of the Indiana Fever guard in her navy number 8 jersey, arm fully extended and finger aimed at someone off camera, wearing a flat, unblinking stare. A referee stands right in front of her and a staffer is leaning in, but she does not budge or break eye contact. The expression is calm, not angry, which is why it works as a meme: it is the look of someone who saw exactly what you did and wants everyone to know it. Captions use it to call out a specific culprit, from a coworker microwaving fish to a friend who ate the last slice.
Origin: The image comes from a mid-2026 WNBA game between the Indiana Fever and the Phoenix Mercury. After a physical play involving Fever star Caitlin Clark, Cunningham held a long point at an opposing player, and clips of it spread across TikTok and Twitter within days.
Also known as: WNBA Pointing Meme, Sophie Cunningham Point, WNBA Player Pointing, Blonde Girl Pointing.
How to use the Sophie Cunningham Pointing meme
The top box sets up who is pointing, usually "me" plus a role, like "me watching my coworker". The bottom box names the offense being called out: the thing the culprit just did.
The joke works when the crime is petty but the call-out is dead serious, so match the stare with something very specific and recognizable. It fits roommates, group chats, sports rivals, gaming teammates and anyone who just got caught.
