What is the Squidward Looking Out the Window meme?
Squidward Tentacles is seen from behind, half in shadow, standing at the round porthole window of his house and peering through the blinds. Outside, SpongeBob and Patrick are jumping around with their arms in the air, clearly having the time of their lives. The image captures the feeling of watching everyone else have fun while you are stuck with work, responsibilities or your own bad mood. In edits the scene outside is labeled with whatever people are enjoying and Squidward is labeled with whoever is left out, often "me".
Origin: The frame is from an episode of the Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants. It spread as a reaction image and object-labeling template in the 2010s.
Also known as: Squidward Window, Jealous Squidward.
