What is the Woman Yelling at a Cat meme?
Woman Yelling at a Cat joins two unrelated photos into one argument. On the left, Taylor Armstrong from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is crying and pointing furiously while Kyle Richards holds her back. On the right, a white cat named Smudge sits at a dinner table behind a plate of salad, pulling a disgusted, unimpressed face. Side by side it looks like a screaming accusation met with total feline indifference, and captions turn it into any heated complaint and the dismissive reply it gets.
Origin: The left photo is from a 2011 Real Housewives of Beverly Hills episode; the right is a picture of Smudge the cat that had been shared online. Someone placed the two together in 2019 and the combination exploded that summer.
Also known as: Lady Yelling at Cat, Smudge the Cat, Salad Cat.
How to use the Woman Yelling at a Cat meme
The left box goes over the woman and holds the accusation, complaint or emotional outburst. The right box goes over the cat and holds the unbothered response, often a smug one-liner or the thing being blamed.
The contrast between overreaction and calm is everything. Parents yelling vs. a kid gaming, fans furious at a referee vs. the ref, a manager panicking about a deadline vs. the developer who already knows. Write the left side with real heat and the right side flat and short.
