What is the Roll Safe Think About It meme?
Roll Safe shows a young man in a black leather jacket and gold watch standing outside a shop, tapping his temple with one finger and grinning slyly, as if he has just thought of the smartest idea in the world. He is actor Kayode Ewumi as the character Reece Simpson. The meme pairs that self-satisfied tap with terrible logic presented as genius: loopholes that technically work but miss the point completely, like "you can't be late if you don't show up". The humor is the confident delivery of advice that is clever in the worst possible way.
Origin: The frame comes from Hood Documentary, a British web comedy series by Kayode Ewumi in which he plays Reece Simpson, also known as Roll Safe. A BBC Three upload in 2016 featured the scene, and the image became a widespread meme in early 2017.
Also known as: Roll Safe, Think About It, Guy Tapping Head, Smart Guy Pointing at Head.
How to use the Roll Safe Think About It meme
Write a fake-smart rule across two boxes: the top box sets the condition, and the bottom box finishes the loophole. The standard pattern is "can't X / if you Y": "can't get fired / if you don't have a job".
The best ones are genuinely logical yet obviously the wrong conclusion. Money, school, dieting, gaming and work are all rich sources of bad-genius ideas.
