What is the Evil Kermit meme?
Evil Kermit pairs two versions of Kermit the Frog facing each other: the familiar green Kermit in front, and a mirror-image Kermit in a black hooded cloak, his face half in shadow like a Star Wars Sith lord. The hooded one is the voice of temptation. In the caption the normal Kermit is "me" trying to be sensible, and the cloaked one is "me to me" whispering the lazy, petty or self-destructive option. It works because everyone knows the feeling of arguing with their own worst impulse and losing.
Origin: The image comes from Muppets Most Wanted (2014), in which Kermit meets his criminal lookalike Constantine. It became a Twitter format in late 2016, with the hooded figure read as Kermit's dark side rather than a separate frog.
Also known as: Dark Kermit, Darth Kermit, Me to Me Kermit, Kermit Sith.
How to use the Evil Kermit meme
The top box is the reasonable intention, usually starting with "me:" ("me: I should go to bed"). The bottom box is the cloaked Kermit's reply, usually starting with "me to me:" and phrased like a whispered command ("stay up and watch one more episode").
The best captions make the temptation sound tiny and the consequence obvious, so the reader knows exactly how the night ends. Keep the evil half short and imperative, as if it is being muttered from under the hood. Diets, budgets, deadlines, exes and ranked matches at 2 a.m. are reliable territory.
