What is the Get In Loser meme?
Get In Loser shows Regina George, played by Rachel McAdams, leaning over the side of a silver convertible with a sweet, slightly predatory smile, while Gretchen Wieners and Karen Smith sit beside and behind her, staring at the camera. It is the moment the Plastics pull up to recruit Cady Heron: an invitation that is really an order, delivered with fake friendliness. As a meme, the line "get in loser, we're going ___" announces a group plan the other person is not allowed to refuse, usually something chaotic, petty or very nerdy.
Origin: The scene is from the 2004 teen comedy Mean Girls, written by Tina Fey, in which Regina George drives up to new student Cady Heron and tells her to get in because they are going shopping.
Also known as: Get In Loser, We're Going Shopping, Regina George Car.
How to use the Get In Loser meme
The top box is "get in loser", and the bottom box finishes the invitation with "we're going ___". The joke lives in what replaces "shopping": an unexpected, overly specific or unglamorous mission.
Good picks are group activities that feel like a heist: refactoring legacy code, doing taxes, grinding a raid, studying at 2 a.m., returning library books. It also works for brands or apps "recruiting" you, and for friends dragging you into plans you already said no to.
