What is the Donald Trump meme?
This Donald Trump template is a photo of him speaking at a podium in front of a red, white and blue backdrop, in a dark suit and red tie, mouth wide open mid-sentence and both index fingers pointing up for emphasis. It captures his speaking style: superlatives, repetition and total confidence. Caption it with an over-the-top boast in that voice, where everything is the best, the biggest or the greatest "maybe ever". The humor is applying that grand, salesman-like pitch to something small.
Origin: Trump is the businessman and former host of The Apprentice who became the 45th president of the United States in 2017. His habit of hyperbole made his photos a staple for parody captions.
Also known as: Trump Meme, Trump Pointing.
How to use the Donald Trump meme
The top box holds the boast and the bottom box adds the tag line, often a short add-on such as "maybe ever", "believe me" or "everybody says so". That rhythm of big claim then extra flourish is what makes it recognizable.
Apply it to petty personal achievements: a sandwich you made, your fantasy football team, a tidy spreadsheet, the code you just merged. Keep it playful and about the speaking style rather than a political argument.
