What is the Super Cool Ski Instructor meme?
Super Cool Ski Instructor is South Park's Thumper, a deadpan ski instructor with his face shielded by a ski mask and goggles, giving the boys extremely blunt advice on the slopes. His signature warning is that if you do something stupid, "you're gonna have a bad time." The meme uses him to give earnest advice about obviously bad decisions, delivered in the same flat, slightly patronizing tone.
Origin: The character comes from the South Park episode "Asspen" (2002), set at an Aspen, Colorado ski resort, where Thumper tries to teach Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny to ski.
Also known as: You're Gonna Have a Bad Time, Thumper South Park, Bad Time Meme.
How to use the Super Cool Ski Instructor meme
The top box sets up the bad decision as an "if you..." clause, and the bottom box is Thumper's "you're gonna have a bad time". The default leaves the top empty, which also works when you'd rather put the context in a post title.
Think of it as a public safety notice: microwaving fish at the office, skipping leg day, pulling an all-nighter before a final, going to IKEA on a Saturday, or playing ranked tired. The warning is funnier when the bad time is obvious and the advice is delivered completely straight.
