What is the UNO Draw 25 meme?
UNO Draw 25 is a two-part image. On the left, a hand holds up a blank UNO card with "or draw 25" handwritten on it; on the right, a bald man in a black sweater sits at a table holding an enormous fan of cards, giving the camera a sideways look, with a soda can nearby. The card offers a choice between doing something and taking the absurd penalty of drawing twenty-five cards, and the man's giant hand shows what he picked. The joke is someone so stubborn that they would rather suffer than do one simple, reasonable thing, like apologizing, reading the instructions or admitting they were wrong.
Origin: The format took off on Facebook in early 2018, when a post paired the two photos with a card asking the reader to contact their ex or draw 25. It has been recaptioned constantly since then.
Also known as: Draw 25, UNO Draw 25 Cards, Or Draw 25, UNO Reverse Draw 25.
How to use the UNO Draw 25 meme
The first box goes on the card, before "or draw 25": write the thing the person refuses to do ("admit you were wrong"). The second box labels the man with the huge hand, usually "me" or a group known for that refusal.
The smaller and more reasonable the task, the funnier the pile of cards. It works well for programmers who won't write tests, gamers who won't read patch notes, fans who won't criticize their team and anyone who will not ask for directions.
